KaYoga™, Kayakercise™ and the “Five Elements of Well-Being™”

kayoga 1 In 1999 Tim wanted to add even more challenge for his personal training clients. Since the studio was located next to the water he decided to add his love of kayaking along with his love of yoga. He took a few clients out kayaking to a small island in the bay behind the studio. The clients loved it – they got exercise on the way out and yoga on the island. Hence KaYoga™ was born (Tim phrased the term). To make things more intense, he added boot camp training on the island (hence the term Kayakercise™).

KaYoga™

 
Kayak + Yoga – You will kayak or SUP to an island to practice yoga on the beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. On the way to the island you may encounter dolphins, birds and other wildlife. The trip takes about 3 hours total – about 45 minutes padding each way, an hour yoga class, and possibly time left over to explore the island for a while.  All KaYoga trips leave from Tierre Verde (directions below).

Kayakercise™

 
Kayak + BootCamp training — You will kayak or SUP to an island for BootCamp fitness training.

Only $70.00/person for KaYoga™ or Kayakercise™. $140 minimum. Discounted group rates are available. It’s a 3-hour trip where we supply the gear and you supply the enthusiasm! No prior paddling or yoga experience is necessary.

“The Five Elements of Well Being™”

 
Kayaking/SUP’ing + Ayurveda — This is a highly educational trip taught to you from the area’s most experienced ayurvedic practitioner. There is no better place to learn the oldest science of life than outside on a beautiful secluded island. Take this course and instantly enhance the quality of the rest of your life. This amazing trip is 5 hours long and only $150.00/person. $300 minimum. Discounted group rates are available.

Reservations

 
Reservations are required for all trips. Call Karen at (727) 466-7994 to schedule your time on the water and to find out about discounted rates.

CANCELLATION POLICY – Once a reservation is made,  24 hours notice must be given or your card will be charged for the trip. No exception to this rule. You will not be charged for our cancellations due to weather, water conditions, etc. Since cancellations are possible – it is advisable to contact us if you are in doubt.

PLEASE NOTE: Once we are on the water and due to circumstances beyond our control, trips may have to be cut short. “Rain Checks” are not provided for another trip due to trips ending before the scheduled time.

From 275 take exit 17, Pinellas Bay Way. Go through toll booth – go to 2nd light make a left – (South 679) towards Ft. Desoto park. Go 3.8 miles – we will be on the right hand side – before toll booth at entrance of Ft. Desoto)

Trip Guidelines

 
We have to be on the water at the designated time, so please arrive 30 minutes before departure to sign in and to receive your equipment.

We don’t recommend that you bring a yoga mat, use a beach towel instead. Wear clothes that you would wear to the beach and can get wet. Wearing of jeans is not allowed (includes jean shorts). You must wear shoes, so wear something that can get wet (flip flops are not recommended). Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses.

HEIGHT/WEIGHT LIMIT – We need to know if you are over 225lbs and/or over 6’2” and we also need to know if you want to bring small children (under 12). An adult must accompany all children under 18 and the guardian must sign a waiver.

We reserve the right to refuse anyone to go on a trip that would cause a problem with the safety, welfare and well being of others. Drinking and use of illegal drugs is prohibited.
